COLOUR THERAPY (ALSO KNOWN AS CROMOTHERAPY) IS A GENTLE NON-INVASIVE COMPLEMENTARY THERAPY THAT CAN BE USED TO HELP A WIDE VARIETY OF HEALTH ISSUES. WHEN THE SUN SHINES, COLOURS COME ALIVE, OUR HEARTS FILL WITH JOY AND LIFE FEELS GOOD, WE CANNOT HELP BUT RESPOND TO THE COLOURS THAT MAKE UP OUR WORLD.
Colour has been used for healing since the beginning of time, it is well documented that in ancient civilisations such as Greece and Egypt they used colour in their temples of healing. The Chinese and the Chaldeans also used colour and the mystics in India associated colours with the chakras.
Colour healing can influence our bodies, moods, feelings, chakras and our energy bodies. By becoming aware of these effects we can harness the power of colour and actively use it to enhance our health and if we focus on the colours that will bring us balance and harmony, physically and spiritually.
The Colour Practitioner can use a variety of techniques and methods using colour; these can include:
- Directing colour / light on to different parts of the body
- Use of colour on acupuncture points
- Using colour (silks) with chakras
- Using crystals
- Colour breathing
- Colour visualisation
- Use of colour essences on the skin
- Solarised essences
- Coloured foods
- Advice on wearing certain colour, if needed
